Introduction -
Welcome everyone to symphony's first Newsletter. Wow, it's really been 3 months since this was turned from just a concept to a game in now development. And now we're finally at the end of year! So why not end this year off with some progress on what me and my team done these past 3 months?

Music -
If you guys couldn't tell by our wonderful musicians ( @NIAFRI01 and https://youtube.com/@quartz3203?si=W_A4ukk_yx7Skpah - Quartz ) we've made some pretty good soundtracks that will be in symphony! You guys should definitely check them out. However, sooner or later. I'll stop posting the soundtracks on game jolt. We wouldn't want to show the entire ost of undertale symphony while the game isn't out yet, do we? So enjoy it while you can!
Sprites -
A few weeks ago, I got aseprite! Finally no more ibspaint. I'll only probably use ibs to make the intro and photos that would be in the game. But luckily, in my first few weeks of learning aseprite. I've officially a sprite sheet for harmony! 
(Making the running one's will be a pain...)
So far, I've only made harmony's sprite. But sooner or later, We'll finish harmony's whole friend group! So she doesn't have to be alon- Uh, I mean... HEY LOOK NEXT SECTION!
writing -
I've gotten a full idea of how I want to story of symphony to go( Because I'm the only one writing the story at the moment ). And so far, I feel like a lot of you guys would really love it!

Of Couse, I'll only work on the first section of the game, rather than get to all the cool parts. But it's just to make sure everything lines up, and nothing is messed up in the story. writing it fully out on paper has been really slow, since I've haven't edit it in a good while. so try and keep ahold of your patience!
Characters -
If you couldn't tell from the photos at the top of game jolt page, we've got ourselves a few of the characters that will be accompanying Harmony.
Fuzz - Art by R.B.N.
Fuzz is a member of the royal guard that tries to train himself to be the best guard he can! When in reality, he hates it! And isn't good at his job when it comes to puzzle making, or trying to maintain authority. But despite this, he has to keep pushing though!
Sadie windchime - Art by R.B.N.
Another member of the royal guard! she's obsessed with clock, time, and precision. overall, she's a control freak with a short temper. But helps carry order on fuzz's part when he isn't able too.
Toriel - Art by @therealyya 
As another human falls into the underground, Toriel is here to guide you! she attempts to protect you from the dangers of the underground, But for some reason, she can't seem to keep a human safe forever. While she's slowly losing herself in the process.
I haven't made full ref sheets for the first 2 characters, But do know that they are getting done. And you'll be able to draw you tiny hearts out!
codding -
In these first few months of development, I've learned it's hard to find a coder to join your fan made project. So I started to learn game maker myself! It was somewhat easy to understand, and so far I've only got the room transitions, player walk, and camera follow to work. While these seem like small thing, I've think I took a big step into making this game finally come true!
Extra -
If you didn't notice, most of the promotion art is gone from the front page. this is because I am still changing how the game jolt page looks, to help spice it up and make it stand out a bit more. One thing that will most likely change is the description, mainly because it just seems too boring. So please don't get too attached to the game jolt page and it's art. You never know when it will be removed!
Ending -
Overall, I say we had a really good start production wise! We have harmony's sprites made, a showcase of some of the characters, writing, codding, and music. " It seems like there isn't anything else we could offer you guys to close off the end of the year ". Is what I would say, If I didn't have an announcement!
That's right! A new and improved discord server is out in the open! You guys should join it if you want to hear more updates involving undertale symphony, share art, talk about symphony, etc. Please read the rules first before doing anything in the server
