I haven’t seen the movie but it looks fine I suppose.

To clarify:

Ruby Gillman is corrupted in the song.

Pico and later Chelsea are the survivors.

Ruby grabs Pico and pulls him into the ocean, trying to choke and drown him. Chelsea follows pursuit while half corrupted after being attacked by Ruby.

Pico shoots Ruby in the face and gets away to get air before he could drown.

What happened to Chelsea and Ruby is unknown…
