[UPDATE] 12th of September: Big graphic changes!

Hello all!

I’ve been working on a few different things to improve the overall quality of the game, and I am very close to make an “official announcement” to share the actual name of the game and all that :D

First, you can see I replaced the plain looking ball for a character. My idea was always to have a character “flying” on top of the board, and while it currently looks like she’s floating, I’m going to make more changes so it actually looks like she’s running/flying on the track instead of just floating on it.

Another thing I added was an indication bar for the GUI. That replaces the old white bar in the previous version, and it’s supposed to let you know when you’re supposed to hit the key/button. The DDR-like game mode also has the tiny arrows at the bottom as part of the UI.

Also, the bright squares are now monster heads :D That’s actually part of the story behind the game, so that’s why I added them. I’m wondering if I should make them easier to recognize their facial features or the current version works. After all, they move really fast and it’s not like you will be able to see their features

Oh, and I also have particle effects \o/

What’s next? Well, I’m currently working on the scoring UI and I will also add a “player hit” thing so you can’t miss more than a few ones before you get a game over. I’m thinking that means I should also add a difficulty level, so lower difficulty levels allow you to be hit more times, while higher difficulty levels allow you to be hit fewer times.

Please play the game and let me know what you think, and if you like what I have so far, please make a donation :D

Another house i made long time ago.

I was bored, so... ManutKat.

What you all think

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Call it 'wrong turn'!🚫 The feeling of running into a house with only one exit🚪, and being doomed to die. #pixelart #pixelartist #pixelartwork #art #pixel #indiegame #IndieGameDev #indieartist

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)
