‘It’s rather funny what the brain can conjure up when left unattended; when stimulation isn’t present and one is simply longing for something to do. You could spend hours just staring at the ceiling, pondering the very thing we deem to be existence—the true oddity that is to be a person. An apex predator of power and prestige can rest among the highest of highs, be the most dangerous thing on the planet, the top of the food chain, yet just the same, can remain on the very bottom.'
These are the thoughts of Emily Habernatch (Habernash), a young German woman, resting in a small country town, just outside of Berlin. She was of Jewish descent, born and raised in the confines of rural cities before settling down to where she now called home.
