Hi!
I mentioned in a previous devlog that towards the end of August me and @tizielechicero2 would start working on a content update for the game.
Today, we started update development!
This is going to be a very quick post to announce some small things.
First, we're now a 3 person team. Say hello to our new coder @Zyiah ! They made a pretty cool mod for the game, so me and Tiz decided to bring them onboard to help.
Second, we have a more concrete list of features coming in the update.
With 100% certainty, we're going to be adding:
2 bonus levels ("Punchout City" and "Dog Race")
Hard mode (An alternate version of every level with new twists...)
Challenge modifiers (Optional extras to make your game even harder. Not for the faint of heart.)
Easier car handling (the mouse collision's been finetuned a bit)
In total we're technically adding 7 new levels, bringing the total to 10. Woah!!!
We also have some things that we'd like to add, but we'll see if we get around to it:
Asset remakes (tiz really wants to clean up some of the messier sprites)
Skins
Alternate soundtracks
A web version of the game
???
Our current plan is to do something sort of game-jam styled, we're going to see how much content we can pack into the game in 2 weeks.
Of course, this isn't a hard deadline (I'm still working on Green Sans, Skelestar Saga and I'm looking for a job...) but it's a fun little challenge for the 3 of us.
Don't check the source code on Github if you don't want to get spoiled for update content. (Unless you do, in which case go ahead!)
