What's up?
I decided to just make a quick post on how development on my projects are going, since there haven't been any real devlogs for my games in a decent amount of time.
What is Continuum?
Continuum: An Interdimensional Mystery is a story rich-horror game releasing as early access on Steam sometime in 2023/2024. I do also plan on releasing the game on consoles when it is no longer in early access. I have been working on the game for quite a long time, and I plan on making it big, with over 10 hours of gameplay.
And I know this may sound a bit bold or whatever, but I want to make this one of the most impressive horror games out there, with stunning graphics, thrilling gameplay, and a captivating story to immerse the player.
Where is Harry's Hamburgers?
So back in April, I got in contact with @Weshek, and I asked if he could revise my script for Harry's and add some fine details to it. He read over it, and we both thought it was really cool as is, but then Weshek suggested that the game had too much potential to just be a FNaF fangame. After a few days of discussion, we decided to rewrite the game completely, turning it into an original project.
How did we manage to do this without making the game too FNaF-ified?
First, we removed the sit and survive, and the FNaF-derived mechanics, like cameras and such. We also redirected the focus of the game away from the robot mascots in the restaurant completely. Also, no, the robots won't attack you or act weird. And about the restaurant. I had changed the layout numerous times, to make it as un-FNaF like as possible.
After de-FNaF-ing the game, we started coming up with an original story. So far, we have made a decent amount of progress on Chapter 1's story, and a good amount on environment design as well.
Chapters?
Yeah.
In Continuum, there are going to be 6 chapters, giving the player tons of time to explore and venture through the various locations in the game.
With all of this, Harry's will make an appearance in Continuum, but the Harry's as the FNaF fangame as you all once knew it won't be returning, and although the robots in the restaurant of the game have a similar style to FNaF, they aren't associated with FNaF anymore.
What happened to Bean VS. Bean and all of my other games?
I took down all the other games, most of them because they just weren't that good and didn't get any views or downloads, and the others just because they weren't in active development.
And for Bean VS. Bean, I just haven't gotten to work on the game recently. However, it is not canceled. I do really want to finish the game when I have time, since I would love to finish a multiplayer FPS project.
Any questions?
Just ask me in the comments.
And one more thing, I just wanted to thank you all for the support over the years, and I am extremely greatful for how far I've gotten with my creative/development skills over the years, and it's mostly thanks to you guys.
I'll be seeing y'all around
