Updates?


Hey,

You might be wondering where I have been and the progress of the game. I'm sorry, I wasn't working on the game because i didn't want (at the time i mean in the kinda past) work on it because i was bad with GML or spent time with family and friends or school.

Does this mean I will stop the project? No. It will be paused thought. I knew that working on a big project when starting out Game development isn't a good idea. I will work on smaller projects with different game genres to improve my skills (Remake Pac-man, make a platformer, trying out online multiplayer ect.)

School has been really preventing me from working. Even at lockdown! I will try my best to use GMS2 as much as possible.

Now for the part i really want to talk about.

This project started as me being the only team member. Then, 2 in real life friends joined my team. Me, the developer and director of the game (possibly the composer) with an artist and a composer will work on the game. But a game cannot be released without beta testing! When the game has working mechanics, I will open applications for beta testers. About other people, i don't have plans for programmers, artists ect.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

So here's the first of the zodiac signs i will make for the next weeks.
