Some new stuff :)
Better storyteller connections, the stories it generates are now somewhat more… intricate… (or bloody? if you prefer ^.^) in any case it works better now and people having affairs end up more frequently in the jaws & tentacles of the angry husband’s latest summoning… ahem… :)
Ghost surprises. Not telling you any more about those or they wouldn’t be surprises. Let’s just say this game is becoming ever less ‘safe’ to play at night with no lights on :P
New rules: no more limitless spellcasting. Each reporter now has an enchanter level, having 0 means no spells (not just everyone can really enjoy a toughness resilience bonus from slurping up a zombie brain slushie, can they?) and having a level 1 means using only spells with no + signs next to it (level 2 means one + etc).
However: the reporters build up their enchanter level, automatically. It depends on the quality of their published stories. The more they earn, the more xp… The more xp, the higher level. But it happens automatically, so it only depens on how you play not on how you decide you want to upgrade your characters. (The upgrade shop via phone is for that).
Last but not least: an overkill, or fighting an exceptionally tough and large enemy (especially using fun entertaining weapons like gasoline, dynamite, or experimental alien megablasting weapons) can cause a blackout in the city (yes, that does include your office ^.^) and on medium & hard levels, that can drastically reduce the funds that the people of that district would’ve raised for your monster-slaying&reporting cause. So beware… at least a little bit. Personally? There’s nothing I enjoy better than a good blackout when I fed the shoggoth my dynamite stick XD
And… that’s all for tonight.
Cheers and have fun,
c.
