V2.1 Released!


Hey everyone, V2.1 has just been released! It fixes the rank bug! View the previous update on V2 here:

Hey everyone, Carnage here, and I just wanted to give you guys some huge news on V2!

First of all, here is an updated changelog of V2:

  • New coloured names! (for admins etc)

  • Full GJ trophy integration

  • New stat-randomizing system

  • New characters (Endo-01, Endo-02, Endoplush, W. Freddy and W. Bonnie!)

  • Shops/Merchants

  • Bosses

  • 4th wall attack

  • Tooltips

  • Brand new currency system (now renamed to Bits) (can only get from chests)

  • Chests (get bits from them, higher rarity = more bits!) (they are also client-side)

  • Red chests are now rarer

  • NPCs! (they talk to you via the normal chat with conversations, also added in preparation for merchants aka shops!)

  • Freddles are now significantly stronger

  • “Players Online” text now indicate how many players are on a server

  • More tooltips to inform people on how to use the map and whatnot

  • Minor changes to character select

  • HP numbers shifted in Battles w/ new font

  • Fixed bug where players would move even in a battle

  • Nerfed AI

  • Redid level and speed system

  • No more level caps

  • DMG and SPD now has a limit of 35

  • Fixed sound/music bug which caused it to constantly repeat

  • Ranking system based on overall levels of ALL characters (This took ages!)

  • Slightly smaller world size (from 5,000x5,000 px to 4,000x4,000 px)

  • A brand new viewable map!

  • More loading screen puns!

  • Performance and stability fixes

  • More stuff I probably forgot (?)

Possible upcoming features in V3: (higher means more priority)

  • Matchmaking by region

  • More NPC dialogue

  • Quests

  • Allies

  • More attacks

  • More characters

  • More GJ trophies

  • More Sounds

And there is MORE big news! V2 will be coming out today and on Windows 32-bit and 64-bit AND Mac OSX 64-bit AND Linux 32-bit and 64-bit.

I actually took the time to compile Battlegrounds for Mac OSX and Linux which isn’t easy, trust me, as I noticed that some (although a minority) of the playerbase were using those platforms. So yes, Battlegrounds is now multi-platform!

And if those 3 huge announcements weren’t big enough, the next build, V3, of the pre-release, will be the last build before the final release.

So here's the first of the zodiac signs i will make for the next weeks.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
