Version 1.5 is out NOW!


It's finally here! This one has been a while in the making, and I'm so excited to show you all what's been changed around!

Changelog:

  • The game now has achievements! These can be unlocked by logging into Gamejolt on the title screen. The game also has it's own built-in achievements, which can be unlocked without a Gamejolt account. Don't worry, though- these can be synced up, and select achievements will already be unlocked if you've played previous versions of the game.

  • A new ending! I wasn't expecting this either, to be honest. However, I will disclaim ahead of time that it's referred to as Ending 0, as it's really not a replacement for what came before. All of the endings are canon, but Ending 7 is still meant to be the "definitive" one. Turning it into the penultimate one wouldn't be satisfying for... anyone, I guess.

  • Increased sanity effects. There might be some more weird sights around when you wander at low sanity. I'll let you find some of those yourself =)

  • Touched up a bunch of old textures. Nothing too major, everything is still very recognizable. It just makes some areas look a little bit more detailed.

  • A small inventory has been added to the top right corner of the screen. Doesn't do much more than just show you what items you have.

  • Mickey can now knock at the door of any house he passes by. It doesn't affect the gameplay at all, some people just missed this feature from the original.

  • The static on Mickey's face at low sanity now actually moves. Before I was just too lazy to do that, which lead to some confusion as to what exactly it was on his face.

  • Fonts are now built directly into the game. Before, I had to package them in with a disclaimer telling you to download them, as the game looked awful without them. Now, you don't need to bother with that.

  • Added a small new area or two.

  • Clouds! People wanted those, right?

  • Revamped the title screen to be less "bare bones."

  • The cutscene for the pit death is now slightly more gory.

  • The book in the library now has front and back covers, making it feel more like, you know, a book?

  • A few bug fixes.

  • Some new easter eggs and secrets, scattered about.

... Yeah. That's about it. At this point, I've been working on and off on Suicide Mouse related projects for like, ten months. It's been so, so fun, but I grow tired of this mouse. Hey, been a while, hasn't it? I've been around, just haven't really had much to show in terms of game-related stuff. I swear, cool things have been going on behind the scenes though. So here, have a silly Fredbear.

I couldn't second this man's opinion more. For real, go check it out. It's a really emotinally heavy experience, but in all the right ways.

Progress on V1.5 has been going steady! Expect it to come out sometime during August. Don't leave just yet! Besides, there may be some... "surprises," in it, you could say. Stay tuned.
