Very disappointed by the amount of stolen work being submitted to the FNAC + POPGOES art contest.


I'm appalled at the amount of random Game Jolt users trying to win the rewards that Game Jolt has offered, by Googling artwork of FNAC or POPGOES and trying to pass it off as their own.

A SHOCKING amount of submissions so far, via #fnacquest and #popgoesquest, use stolen artwork, renders, or even imagery that is completely unrelated to FNAC or POPGOES. If you are doing this... we are not stupid. Not only will your submission not count, but I am compiling every example of stolen artwork and reporting them to my contacts at Game Jolt.

Stop doing this.

And if you're not an artist but you've been browsing these hashtags, please be aware that a lot of people are doing this. If you're on Google Chrome, you can right-click any image and "Search image with Google" to see if it already exists elsewhere online. If it does, and you're convinced someone on GJ has stolen it, then please comment it here and I will take a look.

Genuinely so disappointed. I'm going to try to work with GJ mods this week to get things under control because this is going to be a nightmare to look through for winners later on.

Dawko just announced that the Popgoes the Weasel and Candy the Cat Hex plushies WILL RETURN NEXT MONTH, but as a Makeship-style threshold campaign (i.e. they will only release if they reach 200 pre-orders each). You better SHOW UP!
