Wait I think I just realized why women in fangames tend to not fit, feel jarring, or generally be disruptive to the LISA Aesthetic :tm:

Literally none of the men in the LISA series are shown as explicitly being conventionally attractive, unless it's as a joke. And yet, when a woman is shown in LISA fan games she's pretty much invariably, unironically, shown as very conventionally attractive - which even goes counter to how women are typically shown in Painful (Rick's wife comes to mind, as an unattractive, square-jawed, inattentive cheater - very close to the way men in the game are written).

I get that part of it might be that everyone in Olathe is starved of female contact and would accept anything at this point... but these guys were so desperate they confused Fardy Hernandez, who has a mustache, for a woman.
Yeah, women IRL can have facial hair due to a number of factors, but the point here is that the creeps in the LISA world don't need perfect conventional hot babes to enact some of the worst the world has to offer. To default to a generic form of plain attractiveness when the men in the world are so diverse, goofy, and generally pathetic is a wasted opportunity in character design, and also in writing.

LISA women should be just as weird, pathetic, quirky, preoccupied with weird shit, lumpy-looking, fat, musclebound, dorky, and silly as the men, because women are not more inherently good/pure than men and to do otherwise betrays the beautiful, terrible, goofy, heart wrenching humanity the series portrays.
Obviously take in mind that they need to be either very hardened or very sheltered to make sense, and then remember that women are not inherently better than men and that's not really the point of the series, and go forth and make some humanized women.

two funny things about this talk tree: -it's missing one of the branches that was added post-planning (to handle a loop) -it's only accessible if you got to one of two talk branches on the OTHER huge tree (one of the ones that ups a specific variable)

alright brad now you need to pick between your arm and your party member

CHRIST B*TCH!!!!! Stop emoting so much!!!!

For reference I included the equivalent compliment of campfire sprites for Buzzo (it literally fits into a file with the $ prefix)

there's an expressions spritesheet (that's actually not used for anything cus the formatting on it is incorrect) and there is this configuration of sprites on it and I want to see whatever would cause them to just Look At Each Other In Concern like this.
