So, like, yesterday around 3 AM, I just couldn’t sleep at all. I decided to open up Reddit to doomscroll for a while until I got tired enough to pass out. While I was scrolling, I came across this pretty odd (or honestly, even disgusting and creepy) post on r/luckystar.

(If you don’t know what Lucky Star is, it’s basically a moe slice-of-life anime about a bunch of high schoolers.)

Anyway, the post (which is the one in the second image, I censored it because it was weird, it had a close-up of two characters’ feet from the anime) It talked about some sort of “feet tournament” that someone had been hosting on Twitter. And just to be clear, all the characters in Lucky Star are high schoolers, meaning they’re all under 18.

I was kinda intrigued in the worst way, so I started reading the comments just to see how people in the subreddit were reacting. And, dear lord, I was weirded out because they were taking it seriously.

So, just for the fun of it, I left a comment under the post (which is in the third image) saying, "You all should get a f**ing life."*

And that was one of the worst mistake of my life.

It caused a mass effect of people blasting me. One of them (as you can see in the third image) even went through my Reddit profile to find something to use against me. And, well, they kinda did. They dug up a comment of mine (the one in the fourth image) that I had left under a joke post on the Azumanga Daioh subreddit. (For context, Azumanga Daioh is an anime in the same genre as Lucky Star.) In that comment, I jokingly asked “the real Osaka” to be my GF. I even made it clear later that it was a joke, but they didn’t care.

After that, people started downvoting me like crazy. I tried responding by arguing my point, saying:

"If you’re well over 18 and still liking anime characters that look like little girls/teens, I personally find that strange/creepy."

But, yeah… the general response from them was just: "It’s okay because they’re not real."
(Most brain-dead statement ever, but okay.)

So why am I even wasting my time writing this?

Well, I just want to hear the opinions of the three people who follow me on Game Jolt because I’m tweaking out. I feel like I’m going crazy, I thought the stuff I said was just common sense… but on Reddit, people tend to be the biggest creeps ever.
