#general_fangames is where you would post any and all content related to fangames that doesn't fit in any of the other channels: discussions, questions, polls, etc... General can also be used for talking about the community itself and for any suggestions anyone might have. This channel is only for fangame topics

#work_in_progress is where you can post your work in general and in progress content from your fangame projects, starting from concept ideas to full gameplay showcases of levels, do so responsibly, i would hope not to have to delete any posts due to spam

#fangames_showcase is where you post about big new features or new releases of your fangames, we'll keep posts here to a minimum in order to maximize the amount of atention each game gets. Reposting links to your fangame regarding updates should only be done when changes to your fangame are substantial (a new level, completely different look, new gameplay add-on like a special zone...) If you're unsure about wherether your update is substancial enough please ask us about it in the #modertation_help channel.
#fangames_fanart Here you can post any drawings or other content you've made about someone's fangame, a spot to share your love for the work of others!
#fangames_lets_play have you or someone else played and recorded a fangame playthrough? here is where you can share gameplay videos of yourself or others playing fangames hosted here on gamejolt, linking to said games is a must. For videos of you playing your own fangame use the work in progress or showcase channels instead.

#fangame_frameworks_and_tools Here we will showcase the amazing tools devs in the community provide everyone with to make your own fangames, if you've released a framework and we haven't showcased it feel free share!

#moderation_help This channel is where you can ask for help regarding rules and posts being posted/moved to different channels, basically, this channels is where to ask moderators directly about anything related to the community.

SPECIFIC POSTING RULES

1-Any fan games that are accepting any donations of any kind towards their project won't be allowed to be posted in the #fangames_showcase or #work_in_progress channels, even if the game itself is free. However, let's plays of these same games are allowed to be posted on #fangames_lets_play

2-Please don't advertise your communities directly by sharing a link to them and nothing else. Either don't link to them and hope people notice your community by having the same post be shared in multiple communities at once or make a post with actual content and then as an extra, link to a related community (the purpose of this rule is to avoid out of nowhere advertisment with no postitive impact on this community)

The community is for fangames, not free ads for other communities
