Welcome to Grimmsteps


For the past month or so I’ve been working on Grimmsteps, a turn based fairy tale rpg with roguelike elements. If you’ve made it this far I hope this interests you!

As this is my first devlog post I just wanted to share a few gifs and hopefully get some of you excited about the game. I’m currently working on fleshing out the first area with new friends and enemies and after that is all polished and shiny I am aiming to release a demo. Hopefully within the next couple of months.

I plan to write this devlog as least weekly, to share with you my progress, how I overcame any obstacles and maybe the development of certain parts of the world. I hope you join me for this and enjoy the ride!

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
