What's goin' on?

First off, I'd like to say that I know there haven't been many updates recently, and I do apologize for that. It was kinda stupid on my part to leave you guys hanging. However, there are some reasons for that.

Before I start talking about it though, I would like to thank you guys for playing this game! It warms my heart to see that people are willing to put their time into playing what I've made, and it makes me more satisfied since it's my first game I ever made and finished. 4 years in development, and now here we are.

I would also like to thank you guys for 100 followers on the game page! Really glad to see that people are still checking it out today.

So, y'all might recall that about 8 months ago back in June of last year, I announced that this game was going to be getting a graphics update (Version 1.5.0). This update should be self-explanatory, but for those who are unaware, here's a recap of the stuff I publicly announced I would be doing for this update (Down below).

  1. Brand new edits for the rooms, with newer looks, character images, etc. Done by me and @Malek_X_or_smh

  2. Improved character poses in the cameras, and extras menu

  3. An improved title screen, complete with a new logo, done by @_Xwory

  4. Buffs and nerfs for certain characters to improve balancing

So, let me explain why I decided to do this update. Although I am happy with this game, I admit that I could have done much better. Let's be honest. The game is not perfect. It has its moments, but it also has its flaws, some of which are glaring issues. That was the key factor that made me wanna do this update; to improve the visual aspect, as well as make the game overall more enjoyable.

Why haven't I actually posted about this update lately?

Now, since yesterday was the game's first anniversary, I figured now would be a good time to explain things. This might be a long post, so I hope you guys are prepared.

The reason I haven't been announcing things yet is because I don't have much to work on or show at the moment. This is mainly because my main graphics helper for the update has been busy as of late. Like, I do have a few things I can show if I wanted to, but then again, I don't want to reveal too much about the update. Trust me. I did that while this game was still in development, and I still regret that to this very day. If I showed too much stuff before release, that could get people's expectations up too high, and disappoint them when said expectations aren't met or satisfied.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this is mainly a graphics update, not a complete overhaul. I do plan on doing other things, like bug fixes and general improvements, but not much stuff in here is big other than a change in graphics. And any other "big" things that are here, I don't wanna risk spoiling anything.

The other reason why I haven't worked on the update lately is because I had a bit of a demotivational phase for months. This is mostly due to me spending my time focusing on Nightmares with Meta Knight (In case you're interested, go follow it here if you haven't yet.). And because of that, I kinda burned myself out for a while. But I think I'm starting to gain a bit of my motivation back. No promises though.

So, will I be showing anything else planned?

I do plan on showing some things off, but not a lot really. Mainly graphics changes and all that. Other things I show will most likely be more rare, and/or in the form of small teasers. Please understand that I am not promising anything at all. This is mainly a graphics update after all. Very few things will likely be overhauled and/or added. Who knows? Maybe I'll show a thing or two here and there. That might not be for a while though, as we don't have any updated graphics done to show yet, so bare with me here.

Alright. That's pretty much everything I wanted to say. Thank you for reading if you did, and I hope you're all still looking forward to the update.

TL;DR: Graphics update still being planned, haven't done much due to people being busy, stuff planned to be shown, albeit rarely atm, no promises.
