Recently ColorBust was optimized for consoles and sent to microsoft to be tested and possibly put on the xbox store.
With this being said, quite a few things have been added but nothing new in terms of gameplay.
Controller support is the most recent addition, however the majority of users don’t use controllers on GameJolt which means it shouldn’t affect you, however this also led me to a process in which I had to re-optimize the controls for PC players as well to ensure ease of access when re-programming and taking second looks at.
This means there might contain a few bugs but as of now I haven’t seen anything outstandingly game breaking.
Two or three map fixes have been added that stop you from dying from walls with the opposite color on the other side, I do know of one other place this happens but its further in the game and hard for me to fix at the moment. That’ll most certainly be in the next update but since its 3 AM at the time of writing this, I can barely look straight, much less re-upload a build.
Other than this, the most outstanding addition was the new introduction added before starting the game, asking you to press “A”. Thankfully I made it so PC users can also press the A on their keyboards in order to continue on but a lot of the optimization has been made for xbox users.
I want to look in to a system in which it detects if there is a controller plugged in before doing anything, and otherwise it switches the GUI telling you which controls to use, but like I said, I’m still dizzy and struggling to stay awake. Bare with me if there is an arsenal of miss-spellings in this text just waiting to backfire at me. Outside of the control optimization, map fixes, and main menu, I believe nothing else has been added. One or two updates from now I’ll begin adding much more content to the game instead of the single map you’re forced to play, to keep players invested in the game as long as possible.
Thanks in advance for reading through all this and looking into my game! I’m going to go head to sleep and check for spelling mistakes in the morning :)
