Kept you waiting, uh?
WHERE I'VE BEEN?
Though life has definitely thrown it's blows on me, the main reasson I haven't been as active in Gamejolt as I was before it's that I just started feeling that I was misusing the platform with content it wasn't really meant to have.
Gamejolt is supposed to be a platform for game development and community surrounding that same game development, yet the only thing I was doing was put imatges and random bullshit that lead further and further away from why I entered here to begin with. This is also at the same time I started using DeviantArt and growing more comfortable posting there, so the motivation to keep posting just moved there instead.
If you're wondering what I've made since, I highly recommend checking my DeviantArt where I've posting pretty much everything I've done so far. There's a lot of cool stuff you'll probably like.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO BROKEN MIND?
Now into what really matters, and gonna be clean about it: Broken Mind is officially cancelled for the foreseeable future.
Broken Mind has been in development hell pretty much since the original Gmod addons vanished around 2022. It had it's comebacks from time to time, but it never fully managed to move past ideas and low quality Gmod screenshots. No game build, no cameras, no phone calls or even a fully finished cast, just concepts...
Last year however, it almost got another chance with a pitch for a full reboot that would've drastically changed the original 2015-esque style for something more in the veins of "Mario in the Animatronic Horror" and made with c4d rather than Gmod, but between important studies at the time and me losing interest again this pitch (and any other ideas I had for the game up to this point) won't be moving forwards.
This pitch even got some designs for how the main four (and Ballon Boy) would've looked like:

(keep in mind that these are model edits and were still work on progress, so their final look would've likely changed a bit in the final product).
Broken Mind's page will be unlisted a few days after posting this alongisde other pages up I have since I do not want to hype anyone up with false promises.
Thanks to all the 137 people who followed this project for nearly 5, soon to be 6 years and anyone who sticked around or joined during the ride, specially big thanks to @jesterslumber for allowing this game to at least get a chance.
Sorry for all, I really hoped Broken Minds would've had a better ending, but at this point I think it's just better to let it rest and move on into better things.
MOVING FORWARD
With that out of the way, there's still one more I have to talk about.
Though the whole Gamejolt thing was the main reasson I didn't post anything for so long, the truth is that I was also feeling a bit...guilty for not finishing any of the games I had planned.
In the 6, soon to be 7 years I've been in this platform I attempted to make 7 public fangames and another 8 that had only logos, yet noone ever got playable builds or anything really. I even tried studying professional videogame development, but althought I learned A LOT of valuable stuff I had no idea before I ended up leaving cuz I realized it wasn't what I wanted and just how hostile the environment really was (and the videogame industry itself is kinda going downhill nowadays, so trying to live only from it started to become less and less like a good idea). This and other much more personal stuff happeing in between really took a toll on me, so I took a break from "developing" my Fnaf fangames and tried focusing on studies and other things for a bit.
In a brighter note however, all of this gave me time to refocus a bit on myself and on my own dream, original game which I've been writting and conceptualizing for a few years now. It's still WAY too early to show, but even so I have the hope that with all I have learned from game development and all my attempts at making fangames, I'll eventually manage to fully finish and release it some day.
I've been also helping for a currently paused Fnaf fangame called FNaF: Shattered as concept artist and 3D designer for 2 (kinda 3) characters in particular which I feel very proud of. I'm also help in a beta-style Fnaf 1 fangame by absolutehorror1 too with some designs I did, but that one might take a while to get a page. I strongly ask you to go and support both of these projects (and creators) since they're both much cooler than anything I've published here so far and are much more likely to actually get finished.
From my part I'll still be attempting to make something mine Fnaf related for practice, but unless I'm 100% sure it's going somewhere, I won't reveal it. Only thing I'm gonna say is that it would be made in RPG Maker, since that's the software and style of game I feel will fit me better and also the one I would use for my dream game. I will also keep making more model edits and stuff on DeviantArt, which I guess is as close as I'll get to a fangame for a good while. I will go back to studies very soon too (as in literally tomorrow), so don't expect many news for some time.
And that's all for now. Hopefully, we'll meet again on the flipside.
