White Whale Wednesday 2 : Five Nights at Freddy's : The Return 2

Welp, time for another White Whale Wednesday!
I accidently forgot about last week's, so expect another one of these tonight.

Thankfully, I don't need to explain what this even is this time, so we can skip straight to the fun part!

Creator + Known Information

Since there's only one video of this game on youtube, and it doesn't even showcase a full night, extremely little is know about this game.

It was created by someone named Rcott no later than April 25th, 2017, and just like all of these games, the GameJolt like no longer works.

Characters

Firsty, we've got Funtime Freddy and Funtime Bonnie.

Funtime Bonnie's actually an edit from DiviantArt, although I don't think they created this game.

We don't see either of these characters use their respective puppets, so it's unclear if they ever do.

We've also got Mangle.

No, not Funtime Foxy. Mangle.

Says so right there on the sign!

image.png

There does appear to be a Funtime Chica, although she's stuffed in the back, and we never see her move, so there's not much to say about her. She could have a puppet like Freddy and Bonnie, but who knows?

image.png

There's a Funtime BB who looks simular to Chica, but unlike her, he's seen moving in the footage.

More characters(???)

image.png

The title screen features these three oddly-colored characters, although it's impossible to say whether or not they were actually in the game.

Editionally, the game over screen, there's a pink Freddy, and the backroom contains a purple Chica and Bonnie mask, as well as a bunch of green masks.

If I had to take a guess, these are characters who appeared in The Return 1, although I have no proof that a game of that name even existed, and if it did, it'd be extremely difficult to find information on due to The Return To Freddy's existing as a series.

---

Mechanics

From what's shown, the game borrows a lot of Five Nights at Candy's.

It features a window, closable doors, a night vision feature, and even the same power mechanic.

Freddy seems to attack from ther left, while Bonnie attacks from the middle, although we only get to see a jumpscare from the former.

Night 1 shows Freddy, Bonnie, Mangle, and BB moving, which is a suprising amount of characters for the first night.

Story

The video doesn't show enough to gain a solid understanding of what's going on, and the phone call is reused from Fnaf 2.

There IS a newspaper however, which I feel speaks for itself:

This new version will have cameras in it

Found a game called Springtrap: The Return, and on night 3 it introduces a second, more red Springtrap who’s like 20x faster but also shy.

Needless to say, I think this should become a staple of all Fnaf 3 / Fredbear / Springtrap games immediately

Where did the days go and how can i get them back

Even despite the fact that we haven’t been posting, we have still been working!!! And with that, we have actual news:

Etf loredump; the craftsman

No but can we please talk about this RoXo1987 “Fnaf 3” image

We’ve got the iconic Purple Guy animatronic (which he created), a faceless, pale Freddy and his toy version, a clown snowman thingy, and Charles Entertained Cheese himself

Someone decompiled the game and found this, so I may as well show it off to everyone.

This was an early attempt at giving the Puppeteer a face behind the mask. Canonically, it still looks like this, or at least used to, just uhhh... better looking

To those who're curious, once ETF 2.0 releases, we're likely going to make some kind of video and/or master-post talking about our plans for the future games that won't see the light of day now.

Maybe we'll even throw in some character renders, who knows?

we will be including a little secret in the demo as a sort of "sorry for taking so long"

We may have found an obscure channel that's an absolute treasure trove of old, lost, and forgotten fangames.

That aside, Five Nights at Fazbear's Prologue was high-key cooking.
