I'd say "I'd give you my heart" but that's overrated, right?

I want to give you my lungs that way you could hold your breath longer if I tried to do something stupid again.

I'd love to gift you my stomach, maybe that could help you digest my harsh words if I got mad one day.

Maybe I could make a necklace with my teeth, but they're born yellow, and will never be white.

Just like my brain, we both know it's not working right.

Perhaps my arms, even short and insufficient, could help in flight.

I'd lend a hand or two, if I had the courage to.

It's risky to spare my tongue, no matter how good my intentions may be, it will find a reason to be as mean as it can be.

Maybe giving you my eyes is a good decision, after all, we all have a different kind of vision.

Do not remind them of what they've been told, by the skin on my body, that once felt cold.

They only trust what they can see like a kid, no matter how many years they're old.

They say we fall in love, but I've been walking down the stairs, carefully, all this time.

I want to give you my heart, but you made it hard to trust, hard to walk down the stairs, hard to even try to fall.

I do trust you, if this is love, perhaps I really love you

But will those hands promise to stay away?

Will they ever be kind?

And will they feel the love you said exists in your heart?

Will your hands be gentle enough as to hold mine?
