"One of the longest running science fiction series in network TV history" -- Two FBI agents, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, investigate unexplained cases known as The "X-files". Even when no one else believes, the two are convinced that "The truth is out there".

this isnt a professional review im just talking about something i really like ok just my opinions
I started watching The X files with my parents because my dad had watched it when it was originally aired and wanted to share it with me and omg I'm so glad he did. From the very start I was already pretty interested bc. Unexplained cases bro come on ok. It sounded cool before I even watched it. Then we watched the pilot and OH MY GOD its soo good. Literally had me hooked already just a few minutes in. (I'm trying to keep this thing mostly spoiler free so I'm not going to explain the entire episode but it is really good for being the first episode.) Already I loved the two main characters.
That's one thing I like about the show THE CASTING IS SO GOOD EVERYONE IS LIKE PERFECT FOR THEIR ROLES. Example Richard/Ringo Langly look at that guy and tell me hes not a hacker nerd ok what ever bro. Anyway.
As the series goes on, it becomes obvious that it's about more than just paranormal investigations. Throughout the entire show, the government is shown to be extremely corrupt. Destroying or stealing evidence, fear mongering, killing people to silence them, and a lot more things. It's to the point where they cannot trust nearly anyone in the FBI other than each other. This is one of my favorite things about Txf ngl. So many medias like this portray the government as so trustworthy and like saviors or some shit like thats not realistic at all lol. At least not here. I like that they weren't afraid to bring up topics like this.
I really like how the show can handle really serious topics while also being able to have humorous episodes that are done well and dont feel like filler. Cuz lwk sometimes I be needing a break from all of that ok let Mulder and Scully chill for a bit please they've been through enough in the past week. A lot of shows don't do this very well and the "funny" episodes feel very out of place so I'm glad they don't feel like this for the most part. Sometimes shit just be happening though and I'm sitting there watching like wtf (Syzygy. Everyone was tweaking for literally no reason.)
Another thing I want to say is THE SHOW IS ACTUALLY SO BEAUTIFUL. Like the older seasons are so visually pleasing. The lighting and scenery and all that is genuinely stunning ok you have to listen to me
And I love how the characters are written i care abt them so much. Even the villains are written really well i hate them and love them at the same time. Mulder and Scully are so perfect together they had such great chemistry from day one. I really enjoyed Skinner's character and his relationships with the rest of the team theyre like a family π₯Ή Even characters who appear for one episode are done really well.
I genuinely loved this show sm. It made me pretty emotional at times and I really like when shows or other types of media do that so . Yay!
One thing i didnt like though is that in the later seasons (season 8 to 11) is that some of the main (?) character deaths feel very rushed???? Im going to put who in a spoiler ok don't look if you are thinking about watching (if you are its free on pluto tv web btw π€)
Krycek at the end of season 8, The Lone gunmen in s9, Skinner at the end of s11
But like. I know AT LEAST one of them was killed of because at the time, the show was coming to an end so they were just killed off -- The show was continued later though and the character was literally brought back as a ghost to help Mulder. I feel like it's a similar story with the season 11 finale but the show never got continued after that and it's left off on kind of a cliffhanger so yeah pmo a little.
One other thing is JOHN DOGGETT WAS NOT MENTIONED AT ALL. AFTER SEASON 9. LITERALLY NOT ONCE. It's like he never existed when he was a really important character for season 8 and 9. What ever bro π π π
Ummm heres my favorite characters heh.... Hi
Skinner is my goat ok forever dont let me talk about him
Reyes and Scully are also my goats. Idc what Reyes did. I love them both sm.

Ok heres a giant list of all my favorite episodes if you got this far hi guys thank you for reading and caring this show means a lot to me
S1E3, Squeeze- idk why but me and my brother are really obsessed with eugene ok my bad
S1E7, Ghost in the machine - ai is so scary to me especially stuff like this where it kills people but this is a really good episode lol. It was ahead of its time kinda
S1E21, Tooms - eugene episode ..
S1E24, The Erlenmeyer flask - Season finale, soooo good but
Deepthroat dies π Its kind of a turning point for the show i think. They finally have proof of the existence of aliens but it gets ripped away from them. I also think this changed Scully's mind slightly on things, though she still stays skeptical for sooo long after... jeez
S2E3, Blood - I REALLY. REALLY LIKE THIS ONE. Idk how to even explain it but its really good. I really like how the screens prey on everyone's own individual fears to get them to kill. Its very interesting to me it was my favorite episode for a really long time
S2E5, Duane Berry and, E6, Ascension - Extremely important episodes for the entirety of the show -
Duane Berry, who claims to have been abducted by aliens multiple times, takes people hostage - I can't remember exactly why but i think he was trying to find someone to take to the abduction site to replace him. Mulder, who believes him, manages to talk him into freeing his hostages. However, he has already chosen someone else to take to the site instead; Agent Scully. Scully does in fact get abducted, and is experimented on by aliens.
S2E8, One breath - If you remember i set my username to onebreath for quite a while... Yeah i really liked this one can you tell
In this episode Scully mysteriously returns to a hospital , she is alive but in a coma. Mulder tries to figure out what happened to her while she decides whether to stay or move on to the next world.
Main reason why i liked this episode so much is because of the scene where Skinner stands up to the Smoking man a bit and says "nuh uh" And points to the new "no smoking" sign in his office Yea bud . GO AWAY I HATE YOU
S2E20, Humbug - Its funny β€οΈβπ©Ή Scully eats a bug Also her actor actually ate it irl. I also like the scene where some guy says "Image looking like that for the rest of your life" in reference to Mulder
S4E8, Tunguska - Krycek gets beat up by Skinner in his apartment and then he leaves him on the balcony in the cold π€€β
S4E9, Terma - Krycek gets the black oil #Lol #fuckyou #die #idc #ihateyoukrycek

Krycek abuse
S5E3, Unusual suspects - BYERS i freaking hate you . Jeezzzzzz yo. Anyway, lone gunmen and Mulder lore π³ Yeah its how their whole missions started i guess Heh.. I never talk about the lone gunmen I LOVE RINGO LANGLY SM AND JOHN FITZGERALD BYERS OK THEY ARE MY GOATS . And frohike i guess. True kung fu or whatever.
S6E2, Drive - LITERALLY ONE THE BEST EPISODES IMO. ITS SO GOOD. I think honestly its still my favorite out of all of them
In the beginning of the episode, a man named Patrick Crump is being chased by police. When they finally catch him and try to arrest him, his wife's, who was still sitting in the backseat of the car, head explodes. Crump is taken to jail and Mulder and Scully are called to investigate. Crump breaks out, and forces Mulder to drive him west at very high speeds across the country at gunpoint. While Mulder is driving, Scully finds out that the cause of his wife's death "illness" was a US navy antenna emitting ELF waves that stretched under Crump's property. An abnormal surge in these waves somehow caused an immense rising pressure in the inner ear. Scully figures out a way to possibly fix it, and plans to meet Mulder at the beach in California to cure Crump. When Mulder pulls up to meet them, he steps out of the car to reveal that Crump has already died. He stares off into the ocean, feeling as if its his fault. THIS HURT ME SO BAD MY HEART WAS RACING AND THEN THEY JUST SHOW HIM DEAD. I THOUGHT THEY COULD SAVE HIM. The fact that he said from the start it was the military or government's fault and people thought he was just being paranoid ... Dawg. Hes not really a great person but i still felt so bad when he died. Also, he was played by Walter White's actor so thats cool i guess I REALLY LOVE THIS EPISODE OK IF YOU WATCH JUST ONE EPISODE IT SHOULD MAYBE BE THIS ONE
S6E3, Triangle - This episode is also still one of my top favorites. It seems a bit questionable but I really love how it shows how Mulder truly feels about each character. Like "Spender" and The smoking man being portrayed as extremely bad peopleor lSkinner" being "on their side" yet in the end he actually helps Mulder, like how for a while Mulder and Scully didnt know if they could trust him, but he was always extremely helpful and loyal to them. Also Mulder and "Scully" kiss so. Yeah i really like how it shows how he really feels about each person through his little fever-dream or whatever it was. And Diana Fowley wasnt there and i fucking hate her so yeah π nobody cares about you dud
S6E4 & E5, Dreamland and Dreamland II - Really funny. Mulder switches bodies with Morris Fletcher, who works at area 51.
S6E20, Three of a kind - More lone gunmen lore, this time in Vegas without Mulder. Pretty funny episode lol .Scully gets brainwashed, Byers is still swooning over that girl from the last lone gunmen lore episode that he hasnt seen in 10 years... Jeez Byers. Also Langly with his hair tied back IS FUCKING TERRIFYING STOP DONT SHOW ME THAT. Also Morris Fletcher is there again and Scully slaps his ass bc thats what he did when he switched with Mulder π Revenge ig
S7E12, X-Cops - Crossover episode with the show "Cops" - One of my top favorites as well lol its really funny. Instead of the normal format, its staged as a reality show, with Mulder and Scully being followed around by a camera man while they work with the cops to solve a case. The difference between the two and the way they act on camera is so good I love how Scully is always trying to get them to go away
S7E19, Hollywood A.D - REALLY GOOD EPISODE. PEOPLE MAKE A CRAPPY MOVIE BASED OFF MULDER AND SCULLY THIS IS ANOTHER OF MY TOP FAVORITES ITS SO FUNNY ππππ Skinner being my goat for 45 minutes. Please watch. Its so bad and so good. Three way call bubble bath scene. And Skinner eating popcorn. I love this show

S7E22, Requiem - Season finale. my main reason I love this episode is because Mulder and Scully and Skinner and Byers and Langly and Frohike and Marita and Krycek all team up . In my heart they are all best friends forever
Mulder and Scully return to the town where they investigated their first x-file to investigate a ufo crash site. Krycek is released from prison and decides to help the others. Mulder gets abducted at the end of the episode, and is written out of the show for most of season 8 and 9.

S8 = JOHN DOGGETT APPEARS π€€ Hi
S8E4, Roadrunners - Scully gets kidnapped by a cult in Utah. Agent Doggett has to find and rescue her before she is killed. Me checking my map heh ππππ
S8E7, Via Negativa - Doggett and Skinner investigate a spree of murders committed by a drug induced cult leader who has the ability to enter people's dreams. I really love Robert Patrick's (John Doggett) acting in this episode. His fear feels so real I was freaking out a little ngl. life with horror aspects
S8E14, This is not happening - Spoiler β¬οΈ MONICA REYES JOINSπ₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ή
Mulder returns to earth, dead.
S8E15, Deadalive - really good scene , Doggett chasing Krycek and he just drives away
Mulder's body is dug up from his grave, he never truly died. He has an alien disease, which will cause him to shed his skin and become an alien replacement if not cured. Krycek has a vaccine for it, but destroys it in front of agent Doggett. He gets cured though dw heh. So much more shit happened in this episode i think but im not yping all thag

S9E4, 4-D - Agent Reyes discovers that a killer from a parallel dimension may have entered theirs.
This episode made me cry so fucking bad yo. I hate you. Ok. In the normal universe, Doggett is helping Reyes move. She receives a call from Skinner, saying that Doggett has been heavily wounded on a mission and is being transported to the hospital. She says this is impossible, as he was just right there with her. Though after turning around, he is nowhere to be seen. To sum up the episode, this is the wrong Doggett, he is from a parallel dimension and they were switched. He is injured to the point where he cannot talk and has to communicate with a tapping device thing idk what its called. Reyes has a theory that to fix this and bring her Doggett back, this Doggett would have to die. He agrees, telling her to pull the plug on his life support. She does, bringing her Doggett back and reversing time back to when he was help her move. This episode made me so sad ok the idea that there's another universe where there is no John Doggett hurt me so bad. Ok. Bad episode. Its so good though.
S9E18, Sunshine days - "The agents attempt to connect the dots when a series of strange deaths are linked to a man who resides in a house that is an exact replica of the house from 'The Brady Bunch' television series." Its 2 am rn and I am not typing all of that myself i stole it off google of shut up anyway THIS EPISODE WAS REALLY SWEET . I REALLY LIKE THAT ONE SCENE WITH SKINNER FLYING OK WHY DID THEY MAKE HIM DO THIS. He cant do that by himself they really just made him do that

Bye thank you for reading this whole thing if you even did i care about this show a lot and i want to share my thoughts with everyone
