You don't need to follow this game anymore

‘This is MY Planet’ is a completely finished game that I’ve worked on for months and unless anyone has some bugs to report, I probably won’t be diving back to working on this game again anytime soon. I have no plans to update the game so I would suggest anyone who is following to remove it from their notifications feed.

I have plans for making other games now and I want to forget about this game and the grueling stress I had to endure just to finish it and move on to future ideas. Again, I spent about five months on this game but in retrospect, that was a VERY BAD idea for my first game. I was being overly ambitious. I wanted a game with a big variety of enemies each with their own AI style and sprite. Each boss had their own unique attack pattern which made for a fuckload of complex coding. I wanted to put some unnecessary effort into coding the ways to unlock the extras. I wanted to compose my own music. I fell into the trap of getting too excited with jumping into the indie dev scene.

Also, I kid you not, I originally wanted this game to have six levels. That turned out to be too much work. In the end, ‘TIMP’ only has three. (but you have to beat the game twice to unlock everything so I guess that makes six, maybe?)

I want to abandon this game now. My future works will likely have less unnecessary content.

On an unrelated note, I am unstatisfied with my developer name ‘d0nt d1e’ so my future works will likely have a different username attached to it: Extreme Z7

Demonstration of the spells and their effects :)!

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

Animation test. Not an actaul conclusion to who wins sonic vs Mario. Just a test animation combo.

(Btw, sorry for the double post! I'll try to post less)

It's now possible to destroy some of the obstacles and gain access to new locations or create shortcuts. #gamedev #indiegame #rpg
