for example, a crossroads section
I like adding more bridges / rails that lead to nowhere just to give off the illusion there's more to the map

you know what I like to do with minecraft builds
if they're just for fun or not, if they take place in a cave or something, like a mine, I like making it look much bigger than it actually is
