Is this a FNaF fangame?

NO… no, it’s not…

Toothpaste Ark here…again….
Even if nobody asked, it had me thinking that people may wonder if
this game is a FNaF fangame because what they’ve
seen has lots of resemblances in the game, especially the demos.
Answer is: no, it’s not.
Let me explain:
You know, when I first started making A Light in the Night, I was experimenting on how to attempt a real scare on the player…… and I thought about the FNaF cliche… And that’s the mistake I made.

The point here is, I wanted A Light in the Night to be an original horror game, not to be another game where you have to rely on sound cues, sit down, use security cameras etc.

Then I made this scrolling mechanic on scratch that looks exactly like FNaF. I knew I made a mistake there. Like I said, the early versions were just experiments, they were not supposed to depict on what’s gonna be in the full game but I uploaded the demos with them anyways.

No, I don’t hate FNaF (although this is not the right place to talk about it), in fact you can even see how much I admired that game when I made Five Nights at Jake’s Restaurant. I was done with FNaF last year, I just didn’t want to make people think this gameplay’s concept is another loophole for me to make another FNaF game. I also cancelled FNAJR Revamped because I said I was done with FNaF, so I therefore deleted the game page because I thought I was making too many of these games.
FNaF and a lot of other horror games out there has inspired me to make this game, but I didn’t want to copy some aspects that made their names famous. That’s why I’m remaking this game. Not only because I wasn’t “satisfied” of it but because I wanted to cope up with a little bit of originality. I haven’t mentioned this before because of some circumstances that could ruin this game. But here I am, being honest with you all.
Hope I didn’t start any arguments ;)
