My #MostFearedMob will always be the Wither Skeleton. There are no greater stakes in the early-mid game progression than collecting your blaze rods over a lake of fire while these nearly one-hit skeletons patrol every area.
My opinion is this is the #MostFearedMob in MY opinion

The creeper is one of those mobs that can just blow up. So it's scary to not know where it is until it blows up or makes a noise near you. Charged creepers are just upgraded explosions in a nutshell. #MostFearedMob.
