Nintendo in Retro & Homebrew Games
Cursed Super Monkey Ball Fan Game
I owned, and beat, this game when I was in high school. It captured my heart and I couldn't stop playing. It was a relief to learn there was a 2nd version of the game available after beating the 1st, because it meant I could keep playing the game I loved.
For years I thought "The Goonies II" for the NES was a sequel to the movie, but that is not the case. "The Goonies" was released exclusively in Japan and this wasn't explained when the second game was released worldwide.
"Ghosts and Goblins" wasn't the first game that caused frustration but it's the game that taught me I didn't know what fristration really was. I love it, but F the Crows, F the Big men, and double F having to play it a 2nd time to get the true end.
"Rad Racer" was one of the first NES games I owned & I wasn't initially enthused by it. It sat un-played for 3 years. One day a friend wanted to try it. We took turns playing & as I learned to play it, I enjoyed it a lot. Now it's one of my favorites.
This my "Super Mario" golden coin, featuring Wario, from Frankford candies. The coin and two stickers are inside of an, honestly medioce chocolate orb, and I like them all much more than I expected too.
