I have no idea how to update the client, I restart it and everything, but it doesn't want to update. And when I download some games, It won't play or run unless I go into the folders and open in manually. Can anyone help me with this?

@YLivay received an automated message from me on the moment I mentioned him. He is one of the site devs... one of the people who created and maintained this sites and the tools that come with it, including the site. He can look into your trouble.

I just want to make a devlog for a game I'm making, like a game page
I've recently been having a similar issue. The client keeps telling me "Uh oh, client has trouble updating!" at the bottom of the client window and right next to it shows a "Try restarting" clickable text in all red. But when I click the "Try restaring", it just shuts down the client but never seems to reopen it again. So I have to open it again myself and it STILL shows that. (NOTE: the version I currently have is in v0.50.1 according to the client)
This isn't a major issue for me since I'm more of a content creator (Twitch live streamer to be exact). I'm not really a game dev/creator. But it is still annoying to see that EVERY SINGLE TIME the client is opened/reopened.

This is the only thread I've seen so far that has brought up this issue. I've always had this issue, and while it doesn't impede my usage of the client, it makes me wonder if there is a client update I simply am not able to get.
I guess I might as well jump in while I am at it. And I know I am VERY late as it JUST happened to me as well (funny that there was a slight blackout in where I am as well), but hey, it is better than nothing.
The only way I could have fixed it was to uninstall and then redownload the Game Jolt client, at least with the Windows desktop app. Pleasure to share this information here.
