There are many people who ask how to publish a game. So here is a tutorial.

If you have already made your game, go to one of these things:

You can go to your profile, to add a game, by clicking add game.

You can go to your game library to add a game, by clicking add game.

You can go to STORE in the top bar, and click Add Game.

Or just go to this link, which is litterally the Add Game button: https://gamejolt.com/dashboard/games/add

When you add a game, there are a few important things you HAVE to do.

First of all, the question. How "finished" is your game? If its not accesible yet, use a devlog. If your game is only in early access, so you still are updating regularly, (not like fortnite, but like a beta game), use Early Access. If your game is 100% done, like fortnite (but you add things to your game to make kids play your game regularly because they are curious ), use Finished.

|

Second, you need to add a game file to make it published. (DOES NOT APPLY TO DEVLOG).

(this is under releases, -> builds)

This can be a zip file with an exe, or other file that is your main executable, and select it as the main game file, so that gamejolt can be your launcher to play the game.

This can also be a html game, if you made a browser game.

If you made a mobile game, this will be a little more difficult.

You need to make a thumbnail. it must be atleast like 500x200pixels.

|

You also need to make the game's age restrictions. How violent is your game? Is there any form of smoking or drinking in the game?.

Finally, click on publish game, and its published!

Just a thing, when you are in your game details, on the right, there is a whole list of things. Just fill all of the tabs in and you should be good.
