At the risk of being predictable- can I suggest my game as being underrated? ;) It's a quirky visual novel horror game- so, if you liked Shiver, you might enjoy Bunny Hill Horror. It's a lot less pro, but a whole load of love and hard work went into it! (Also, this is the NSFW version, the SFW version is on Itch) :)

Honestly, love and hard work are the most important things, they'll overshadow a lack of experience or money easily, and there's clearly a lot of love in this game! Hi, we are Big Fat Cat Studio. We've just release our game called Kika & Daigo: A Curious Tale and seeing as you are a duo, we think our game would be perfect for you!
Kika & Daigo: A Curious Tale is a free local co-op mystery game where players have to work together to find grandpa. Grandpa has suddenly gone missing and left clues behind. One player will play as Kika, the granddaughter who wants to be a legendary detective like her grandpa. The other player will play as Daigo, her fluffy sidekick who loves to pee and poop on everything. Together they will have to explore places, find clues and solve puzzles to find grandpa. Will you be able to find him? And will he still be alive?
