AsylumTale is a FanGame AU created by Furgemancs.
In this AU, Sans is depicted as a child who has been confined in a Mental Hospital due to losing his sanity and beginning to see the spirit of his deceased brother, Papyrus.
Papyrus, now a spirit, watches over Sans to help him retain some semblance of sanity after his tragic death.
Sans was discovered severely injured by a monster who then brought him to the hospital. The circumstances surrounding his injuries remain a mystery, but it is known that his brother had died.
One doctor, Toriel, recognized Sans' deteriorating mental state and attempted to aid him by isolating him in a room away from external stimuli.
