To no one's surprise, you still suck
SuperFighters 2 is a fangame of the original SuperFighters (2010) by Mythological Studios. It is planned to be in the middle of quality and controls of the 2010 SuperFighters (What I'm gonna call Original SuperFighters) and SuperFighters Deluxe. With that short summary of the game, let's get into the good stuff.
Ok, features. As this game is supposed to be a better SuperFighters, SuperFighters 2 will have a lot more features than it, so I'll make a little section for the big one's.
Longer Story Mode:
I want to make at least double of what the original was (Which was 12 stages, 4 for each rank). I also want better rewards more often than just a new skin at the end like in the Original SuperFighters. Perhaps even a hard mode for the masochists out there?
Gun Skins:
Simple enough. Gun skins will be unlocked by completing ranks in the story mode (Or stage mode, whatever you want to call it), or by doing our next big feature. (P.S. There will be a sort of rarity system, like some gun skins will be animated and such)
Challenges:
Challenges will add more content and stuff to do after completing the game. Challenges will come in three tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold; the higher the tier, the harder it will be, but also has the best rewards. Some challenges in the top tier include winning a 2V2V2V2 10-0 with at least hard difficulty CPU's.
Difficulty:
There will be a new difficulty for CPU's, being Master mode (Or whatever really). These CPU's will have more human-like AI's following top playing skills from the other SuperFighters games. It will also be able to make better decisions, like running away on low health or using the environment to their advantage.
Maps & Weapons:
Lots of maps with tons of diversity, same with the weapons, ranging from more old style guns to high-tech, futuristic guns like a plasma rifle.
Multiplayer?:
I really want multiplayer for this game, but I really doubt I could do it or pull it off. Maybe in a future or update, or maybe I can get someone to help me? There will be 100% a 2-player mode though, where (Like in the original) 2 people play together on the same keyboard.
And that's about the end to the features. There are a lot more, but most of them are redundant to mention here. Anyways, time for the next thing...
Like mentioned before, graphics will be in the middle of the Original SuperFighters and SuperFighters Deluxe. Here's a picture to accurately describe what I mean:
The one on the left is the original Agent in SuperFighters and the right one is the remastered one in SuperFighters Deluxe, I'm tryna shoot for somewhere in between. So if the left is 8Bit and the right one is 32Bit, I would go for 16Bit. Hopefully you understand.
Well, obviously it's just me right now. I'm getting some progress on the preparation to start the production. But I'm gonna use this section to say what I want and/or need to complete this game.
Programmer Advisor, 1 or 2
What is a Programmer Advisor? Simple, since I don't really need programmers, a Programmer Advisor is a person I can simply ask for help on how to write certain code or give me ideas on how to execute something with code. (Note: I'm using Game Maker Studio 2 so if you want this position, you'll need sufficient knowledge on the Game Maker Language).
Spriters, as many as I can get
Simple enough too, I already said what type of graphics I want, so if you think you can deliver, go ahead.
Musicians, 1 or 2
I want a couple digital musicians to make a couple soundtracks for the game, not too much though. I really only need a soundtrack for the main menu and the fight music for the maps (If you really want to, you could make a specific soundtrack for each map of the game, but if you can't, it ain't the end of the world.)

Thank you for asking such a nice question. I already mentioned what positions I really need, and if you want to ask for a spot, message me on my Discord Dissension#9932. I won't need anybody really (Except maybe Programmer Advisors) until after I'm done with the Prototypes (I'll explain more about Prototypes and how I'm going about it later). So if you're not too sure if you have the ability, you don't need to right now, since I don't need them right now (I'll let you guys know when I need them though)
Sounds like a scam of SuperFighters Deluxe.
Not a question, but ok. SuperFighters 2 is gonna have a whole different feel than SuperFighters Deluxe, leaning in more towards the free flash version made in 2010. This means simple controls, less clunkyness in moving around, and more fast speed gameplay. I'm just adding some features from SuperFighters Deluxe like challenges (But even then, my challenges work different from SuperFighters Deluxe's challenges). Plus, SuperFighters 2 has a campaign mode while SuperFighters Deluxe doesn't, so yeah.
When will this be released?
Obviously, I don't know. But my Prototypes should be finished before 2023, then I'll start the actual game. So if I had to make an estimate, if I had all the team members I want and I/we work on the game at a good pace, I would say it could be finished as early as Summer 2023 to Summer 2024. Note that this is a optimistic estimate, so don't get your hopes that high up.

This is a big passion project of mine (If you couldn't already tell) so I'm pretty serious about this. Right after this I'm gonna explain how I'm going about making this game and such. Hopefully I can complete this someday and now here are some tags (Because GameJolt recommends I use them. I agree)
