Wait is this a gender-bend of the Legend of Zelda? Looks good…
I never knew Link had a sister... I'll check out this game later.
I really liked this game. My only problem was that the title was misleading. This isn't a "Lame Journey." When the bad guys are coming at me and I'm trying to position myself just right ...it's actually pretty epic!
I think Flink's Lo-Fi Journey would have been more appropriate :)
This was a cool and creative submission. I find the Atari aesthetic really intriguing, and you captured it well; plus, your map design is awesome. I look forward to checking out your future projects.
I am not a big commenter, but was prompted to do so after the voting results. This game was not even close to the worst entry. Your game had better exploration/world design than most of the games, including mine, and there were actually some really intense moments during the boss fights. The only problem I had was the sprite flickering when trying to move to an invalid location.

Playing The Game
Adventure around the overworld and try to find keys for each of the three dungeons. You can tell which key and dungeon go together, and the order, by their sizes, but you can do the castles in any order. If you die, press any key to respawn. If you die in a dungeon you will start at the beginning of that duneon. Be sure to look for secrets along the way.
Overview
Flinks Lame Journey (FLJ) is my game entry for the #FemaleLinkJam (aslo FLJ, get it?). Flink is the name of my female link character.
Anyways, its a very simplistic game, in fact I have designed it to look and act like an old atari game. It is similar to the very first original legend of zelda game in that you just start the game without any real introduction and are free to do whatever you please.
Reasons
One of the reasons I decided to develop it in this style is to make a point that it really doesn't matter if the main character is male, female, or something else. Since you are just a square you can imagine that you are whatever you want to be. The other reason is that then I don't have to worry about doing any real art or anything, and it also keeps it simple stupid.
