Once upon a time, a human fell into a place known as The Underground. At first they spared everyone, But then they chose to reset the timeline and kill all of the monsters, without mercy. However in doing they glitched the timeline, and a skeleton named Sans started to remember everything. 12 times, 12 times he tried to stop the human, 12 times he failed. Sans was going to stop the killing by first saving his brother, Papyrus. He first tried to convince his brother to not fight the human, he warned Papyrus that he would die if he tried to change them, Papyrus didn't listen, so Sans convinced Papyrus they should go together. Papyrus spared the human, and the human attacked him like normal however. . . Sans blocked the attack. The two skeletons fought hard to stop the human, but Sans couldn't dodge forever. Sans was hit eventually, but he managed to get himself and his brother to a safer place than where they were. He warned Papyrus about what was going to happen, about the 12 routes of No Mercy, he told Papyrus to just go home. Sans finally passed, and within a few seconds Papyrus had realized something, he understood what he would need to do, and he was now stronger than ever before. He decided he would stop the human, it was his job now.
