You play as Will Turner, a high schooler from Wilmington, Delaware with a lot of issues.
William lost his mother at a young age due to cancer. Ever since, William had a shattered relationship with his father who became an alcoholic shortly after.
His daily life consists of going to school where he is tormented by his former friend now relentless bully, and working to help afford rent.
With all the pressure he feels, Will suffers from an extreme depression to the point of becoming suicidal.
After an attempt to take his own life, Will comes meets Elizabeth who claims to be his guardian angel.
Elizabeth's goal is to show him his purpose behind living, by taking him to other people in his life who all suffer from issues of their own where together they try and help these people with their problems.
