The scope of this is amazing for a two week jam, I loved everything about it. The atmosphere, story, pacing, art... The puzzles were really clever- tricky, but logical and well signposted if you look around. Your interface is super slick, and felt effortless to use while maintaining everything I loved about the sierra parser.
It's really cool you're using unity to build something like this, I've been building some adventure game tools on top of unity too and it's an interesting challenge to be sure, I'll be sure to trawl through your blog ;)
Cascade quest wasn't on my radar before, but now i'm really excited about it!
It's not retro if it doesn't have scanlines :) Really great to be able to play contemporary games that actually could be 1980s Sierra classics. Totally will check out the Snail Trek episodes and looking forward to Cascade Quest.
Not yet finished it, but I do feel the old Sierra feel I still miss. Now this is Sierra's early SCI style (I had plans myself for the even older AGI style). I will definitely continue this game though. I like the mysterious setup and I wonder what this will lead me to ;)

If you've never played a Sierra-style text-parser adventure game before, here are the controls:
Type to start entering commands!
Arrow keys or click to move
ESC for the menu
TAB or 'stuff' to show your inventory
'journal' to open your journal
Hold SHIFT to move more quickly
Examples of things you can type:
'open door'
'look house'
'look in well'
'mail postcard'
'attach rope to car'
'turn on lights'
'put kettle on stove'

The game has a fair amount of content for a 2 week jam - it'll probably take most people at least an hour to play through (luckily it supports save games). (And the ending was planned that way, I didn't run out of time ;-) )

0.1.2: Fixed some visual glitches are score calculation bugs
0.1.3: Fixed a hang when accessing the ESC menu with the mouse
0.1.4: Fixed a crash that happened if you loaded a game that was saved while the dog was making noises.
0.1.5: Fixed breaking bug that let you finish the game way too early. Also some minor parser fixes.
0.1.6: Fixed crash on Load Game if all your save slots were used. Added MacOS build.
0.1.7: Added some instructions for those who haven't played parser games before.
0.1.8: Added fix for hang when going to sleep when already asleep
0.1.9: Fixed a bug where you could finish the game without solving all the puzzles (related to starting the truck)
