I like the visual style :) Belp looks interesting, I wonder what he would look like in a non pixelated version
Just the weapon doesn't fit perfectly in this universe.. :P But maybe this is just a placeholder(?)
Belp would fit perfectly into the #gbjam, maybe you want to turn it in there? :)
I'm looking forward to see how this turns out in later versions!
The version above is a DEEP WIP; nothing is final and ANYTHING can be change in the future.
Belp, an explorer of an intelligent alien race from a far way planet crash-lands on a strange new world and must find a way off the hostile planet to get back home...
CONTROLS:
Arrow keys to move.
Z for action
You'll learn the rest.
Belp is a 2D Gameboy-style Platformer being developed for PC and MAC and will be a blast from the past in gameplay and sound for retro enthusiasts, but will be like a breath of fresh air for new players and enthusiast alike at the same time;
Belp's gameplay will consist of bashing, blasting, and obliterating your enemies with many different alien-like power-ups on an almost barren, hostile planet full of unwelcoming aggessive lifeforms at every turn.
Alien leaders of each different hostile spieces will need to be defeated at the end of every reflecting spieces' area to plunder the required parts to build your ticket home and move on to the next threat to this world and that way home...
