This is a beautiful piece of software.
It's going to be really cool, personally, when the jump physics are a bit less "floaty," and if the audio didn't restart on death. I think games that have common deaths or restarts should transition smoother so it doesn't feel so.. bad? :P idk
Other than those two big points, this is great! 3/5
Mac port?
Great game! I like the graphics, sounds and gameplay. Good work!
endless runner game with a futuristic note, not bad.
One of PCGamer's best free games of the week! (http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/03/15/the-best-free-games-of-the-week-17/)
Dayglow Empire is an anti-shmup platform runner made entirely in 10 days for #CyberpunkJam 2014 (http://itch.io/jam/cyberpunk-jam).
Dayglow is a highly controlled psychoactive substance. With the number of insurgents of the Order dwindling, it's more difficult than ever to get your hands on it and more dangerous than ever to run. Stay safe out there.
Features
Cyberpunk storyline voiced by a robotic narrator (stand still at the beginning of each level if you want to hear it!)
Gorgeous pixelated environments and characters
4 levels of increasing difficulty with varying challenges (ducks, traffic lights, moving platforms, speed limit signs, and the fuzz with their fucking turret plasma ray combo)
Awesome retro-future soundtrack with a fresh song on every level
Controls
A = Run left (and air control)
D = Run right (and air control)
Space = Jump (hold to jump higher)
Tips
Keep moving! You won't be able to jump far without building up some momentum first.
