Hello, Tuzine! I just played through the game and got both endings. It's a pretty enjoyable game although with a few short comings. The game's story is simple and it works well enough for what it is, even if it's a bit cliche. And there's not too much character background but it's fine for what it is, although you definitely should lean into this more for future games. As the other comment mentioned you should experiment more with cutscenes and bring the story to life. With games, visual media in general, you should use show and don't tell, within reason of course. For example, in the opening cuteness, instead of a black screen telling us about the protagonist, you could show this happening with a cutscene before forwarding into the current day. Stuff like that would make those scenes more impactful
Battles can be better. For this game you're mostly just fighting the same enemy over and over again - there's not even any boss battles besides the final one. I guess it's fine for this game since people will beat it in like, 20 minutes? Still would like more variety tho.
Overall it's a good game, something to play as a casual adventure. I look forward to any future projects you have in store!
REVIEW:
+i think flashbacks in the intro could've been more impactful than just text.
+the mapping is better than some other rpg maker games but still needs a tad bit of improvement.
-the cave dungeon had way to many fights. raise the amount of steps needed.
+LOL THE PART WHERE YOU KILL URSELF AHAHAHAHAH
-bug: the left chest in front of the castle changes color when interacting.
+i like how the game forces you to save when you enter the castle.
-bug: the crystal changes color like the left chest.
I'll review the rest once i play it
