"When ghosts are hurt in battle or something or other, they return to their graves to regenerate their bodies." (someone somewhere in the game)

You are playing as a girl named Sarah. You have been lost, searching for your mother for years, and have finally come to this peculiar graveyard. What secrets lie here? In the game, you will meet many spirits and ghosts. You can decide their fate; appease them, or fight to corrupt them further. What path might you choose, and what will be the outcome of your adventures?

In Final Resting Place, you will be able to fight or spare the ghosts. Obviously, you can't kill them, since they're already dead. However, fighting them makes the ghosts need to regenerate in their above-ground graves. The hurtful thoughts and relentless pain can build over time, corrupting their minds and overall appearance. You won't see many corrupted spirits in the beginning of the game, though. Hurting others may provoke even a side of the player character we don't know about...

The game takes place in an above-ground graveyard, similar to what you might see in a New Orleans-ish setting. I was inspired by the little tombs that looked like houses, and the offerings people left behind for the spirits, such as food, beads, letters, chalk, etc. Because the setting is based off of New Orleans graveyards, I'm creating jazzy-ish music to accompany it.

Possible Controls:
arrow keys- move around
up and down- limited dodging in battle (can't move forward or backward probably)
z button- select/interact
x button- go back/deselect
c button- open the menu/pause button in battle

People working on the project:
It's just me at the moment, but I may get people to help me when I start running into problems. If you would like to join the team (if there needs to be), just tell me if you are interested, and I will keep you in mind when looking for people. I suggest that you have at least some experience with music, coding, or making sprites before asking, however.
