What do you think?

How's development going?

Welcome back. It's been a while, hasn't it? Have you ever had that moment where you go back to a game you loved as a kid, only to realize it was one of the worst things ever? However, as a kid, you weren't aware of that because kids can find joy in almost anything. Have you also had one of those moments where you wanted to change the past so that it could be better? But what's stopping you from revisiting the past? What's stopping you from revisiting things that you loved as a kid? Nothing. That's what. We may not be able to change the past directly, though if we could, we shouldn't, but we can recreate the past to be better. That's pretty much what I did with FNAF 1! Yes, the game does have positive aspects, but it also has a LOT of negative aspects that I despise. So, I'm fixing those in this remake.

But what changed? Well, not only is this a remake of FNAF 1 in the sense that it has better graphics, but it is also better because it has features from later entries, as well as features from Scott's older games. The following changes are listed in these sections: Gameplay, Lore, and Other. Also, thanks for the ideas, FreddyPopCollector! However, note that I have taken a few liberties. Note that there WILL BE SPOILERS.

Gameplay

I wanted to keep the aspect of having the game be simple, where it is easy to pick up and understandable as soon as you jump into the game.

You know, everything, everything is designed to where you can see everything right away, you know, as soon as you jump in, you're in the experience.

However, there's a problem: the gameplay is repetitive, especially around the fourth, fifth, and sixth nights. In this remake, on night four, Bonnie is in the East Hall and Chica is in the West Hall, though their behavior is mostly the same, despite being in a different hall. That is, Bonnie would go to the Prize Corner just like he would in the West Hall with the Supply Closet, and Chica would still go to the Restroom Hallway and Kitchen, but would go through the West Hall in the same way that she does in the East Hall.

By the way, the game is not 2D, but is in 3D, since this is a remake in Unity, and that means that you can look behind you in the office and you see... Lockers. Also, when an animatronic gets into your office, it spawns right behind you, then you flip up the camera monitor and they teleport in front of you, then you pull down the monitor and BOOM! You're dead! Also, if you trigger the Golden Freddy Easter egg, Golden Freddy can occasionally spawn behind you, rather than in front of you.

Also, there's a secret way to turn on the Kitchen camera, but obviously, I'm not going to tell you how to do it. Though typing in 1-9-8-7 on Custom Night does not trigger a Golden Freddy jumpscare anymore. Either way, once you turn it on, you can see the Puppet hiding in there. Why? I don't know!

Also, Freddy chimes his music box when he is outside your door so that you can react accordingly. Also, Foxy's jumpscare is MUCH better, because now, instead of peering into the office in his jumpscare, he runs through the door and leaps at you, similar to Five Nights at Sonic's 1. Also, the jumpscares of all of the animatronics are more like FNAF 2, and these jumpscares put the "jump" in "jumpscare". Also, instead of there only being two jumpscare sounds, there are five jumpscare sounds, similar to Sister Location. Also, there are now more animatronics. Though I don't think I can mention them here, since I don't have enough time to do so. Also, there's a difficulty system now. It's similar to There is No Pause Button!

You can also go outside of the office, though I wouldn't recommend it, since you can't bring the monitor with you, since this is 1993, a time when almost all technology was wired in some way (I'm looking at you, wireless Atari joystick!), and therefore, you don't know how much power you're using, unless you go back to the office.

Lore

We've got a Safe Room Easter egg. Sometimes the back wall moves to reveal the interior of the room. Also, Phone Guy or Ralph or whatever the heck his name is, mentions the Safe Room. Like I said, you can now see the Puppet in the Kitchen, or at the very least, you can see his weird legs. You can see the remains of the toy animatronics in the Parts & Services room, or at the very least, what remains of their endoskeletons and the empty, hollowed-out suits, since the Bite of '87 and the Second Missing Children's Incident caused them to be scrapped, however, parts of their endoskeletons were used to restore the withered animatronics.

There's now a fifth newspaper that states that William Afton (note that his last name isn't mentioned here, because SPOILERS!!!) was let go, because, while he was a suspect, there wasn't enough evidence to indicate that he was responsible, so, he was let go, however, the police are still keeping a close eye on him.

Other

Yeah, we have cutscenes and 8-bit minigames now. We also have an extras menu. In the end-night cutscenes, you walk out of the restaurant like any "sane" person would, and each night, the cutscene repeats, but there's one less animatronic on the stage, and by the end of Night Six, all of the animatronics are waiting for you outside the pizzeria, and it cuts to black. Also, we have a bigger map.
