STORY
After several genocides, the human seeks redemption and aims for a pacifist run. Papyrus, who has been acting cruelly under madness, realizes his mistakes and seeks redemption as well. Papyrus reflects on his actions, understanding the harm caused to Sans and others. In an act of self-defense, Sans kills Papyrus in a moment of rage. In his final moments, Papyrus urges the human (Chara) to seek redemption and end the violence.
Even after his death, Papyrus' spirit lingers, guiding Frisk with advice and strategies to prevent Sans from descending further into madness. Chara, following Papyrus' guidance, aims to stop Sans and restore his cheerful self. The human, influenced by Papyrus' spirit, confronts Sans in an intense battle. Throughout the fight, Papyrus reaches out to Sans, reminding him of happier times, leading Sans to show signs of surrender after two phases.
As Sans nears his old self, an emotional talk with Papyrus and Chara intensifies. Sans decides to revert to his "MWEH HEH HEH" personality and seeks a timeline reset. Just before the reset, Frisk, battling Chara's control, intervenes to prevent it. Chara, Sans, and Papyrus confront Frisk in a climactic battle to stop Frisk from preventing the reset.
In the final moments, Sans, with Papyrus' help, weakens Frisk. Papyrus then decides to erase Frisk from existence to prevent future harm, deleting the shared save file. This act restores balance, allowing for a peaceful reset of the timeline and a chance for everyone to start anew.
