On first race you get hint for acceleration with "G" button, but to shoot rocket you need to press "H". This info comes after the first race, but if you want to use it right away here it is. If you use it without the target mark it wont be homing, just goes on straight path and bOom zapped.

As a beginner slot car racer your goal is to win races, gain money to upgrade your car, get the attention of the current champion and beat him to take his place as the best of the best.
High Gear is a new kind of slot car racing experience where every turn on the track has a clearly displayed start line, end line, and speed limit. Winning is all on you to know when to brake when to accelerate and to use your weapon at the right time. Every track has multiple routes to take and each route has a power-up that gives different kinds of advantages which makes every race a new unique experience.

Game modes
Championship:
In championship, you participate in races to get money. You earn money based on your position at the end of a race that you can spend to upgrade your car.
When you want to go on a race you need to select which league you want to race in. There are two leagues Beginner and Professional. Each has a different set of maps. Professional races have better rewards but the opponents are also faster so you probably need some upgrades before participating to have a chance.
Your goal is to defeat the current champion. To challenge the champion, you have to pay a fee. In the beginning, you are not really famous so the fee is very high but as you win more and more races the challenge fee goes down.
Beat the champion to win the championship. Try to win having as few races as possible.
Challenge:
In challenge mode, you go through each map one by one. You are only allowed to go to the next race if you win otherwise you need to retry it. After every try your opponents get weaker. You get money between races that you can spend to upgrade your car. Your goal is to go through all the maps retrying as few times as possible and spending as little money as possible.
