I just went through chapter 1, and I have to admit that the game is really good! The best thing about it is the atmosphere! I felt like I was playing the original game from Joey Drew Studios! The game has a lot of potential and is very enjoyable.
The only thing I want to talk about are a few bugs.
1) When I pause the game and click the quit button, nothing happens and the button doesn't respond.
2) In the initial screen with the documents about the bankruptcy of the Studio, after a while the "Continue" button appears, but if you know where it is and click on it, even if there is no button, you can go straight to chapter 1
3. in the place with the writing on the wall "There are monsters down below" I went to the door, which closed after a while and then I could not do anything. (It was an accident and then I went through it normally, but you can add a collision there so the player can't enter the corridor).
4) Jake Wood's tape, when I walked away from it the text was still visible on the screen.
5. the main character could walk a little faster
So far I haven't found any other bugs.
Please do not take this as an attack or criticism. I really like your game and I'm really hyped for chapter 2. I even got scared at one point and that's a huge plus for your game. Like I said a game with a lot of potential. Great job!
I unironically have tried the section with bendy after getting the lever handle 7 times
I know that you've put a lot of passion and care into this game, and it certainly pays off. but there are a few things that are literally vital right now. 1. is a checkpoint system right before "that" part. and the second is to drastically change "that" part. the final thing, is seriously give the player more direction, I had no idea where to go, and when to backtrack, which is incredibly confusing. also "that" part I still haven't gotten past, it's mentally hard. and I genuinely have no idea what to do.
I really hope this feedback helps, and I'm trying to not just unload complaints, because as another bendy fangame dev, I know you care. :))
have a good day, and I hope the launch is successful so far!
