I made the original Mr. Jingles about six years ago. It was my first real shot at a horror game, and honestly, it was pretty rough around the edges—just some stuff I learned from tutorials. But for some reason, people loved it. It ended up on random streaming sites with thousands of views, and then I ended up losing the original files.
I decided it was time to actually finish it properly.
October’s End isn't a remake, it's what the game was actually supposed to be. I’ve spent a lot of time on the AI, and it’s honestly starting to freak me out. He doesn't just walk around aimlessly anymore. He stalks you. If you sprint away, he’ll find a way to cut you off in the fog. He’s always right there, just out of sight.
A few things to know:
Watch your noise: I gave him "ears." If you start blasting, he’s going to pinpoint exactly where you are and come for you.
The "Rubber-Band" is real: You aren't safe just because you ran for two minutes. He stays on you.
7 Rounds: That’s all you get to start with. If you miss, you're in trouble.
I’m posting clips of the progress here for my 100+ followers. This is the version I wanted to make years ago, but didn't have the skills for yet. It’s more polished, it’s more advanced, and it’s a lot meaner.
Controls:
WASD to move.
Shift to sprint (don't waste your stamina).
Left Click to fire.
E to grab ammo.
October is almost over. Let's see if you can make it out. #action #horror #foundfootage
