What do you think?

I only played it a little today (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/446819851?t=00h11m20s) and it looks interesting, simple but effective, looking forward to a full playthrough. You could have uploaded the .love and marked all the desktop OSes IMHO.

It may be the only Löve game since I used something else this time, represent!
I've looked through the code and have to thank you for letting me know about the scale function, I have used Löve for years and somehow never realised it was there. I guess it doesn't take care of mouse input, but that wasn't a concern here.

Congratulations to a really nice entry.

This game is brilliant, not least the user interface, which avoids the classic parser input but still allows for moving back and forth between locations, making it perfect for people new to text adventures. The atmosphere is great too. Good work!

Little gems like this is what I love about advjam! Simple but really effective, and really takes me back to some of the first games I played, though this is infinitely more playable.

Great atmosphere, writing and design. It has a dark tone thanks to its story and the color combination you used. You made a terrific job with the UI ([ ]), it really helps, especially to those who find a barrier for this kind of games due to the language. This is the first time I finish a text adventure, and that's thanks to good design: the [L]earn mechanic, the always visible map and inventory with its shortcuts. Amazing work!

I'm not sure if I got to all the endings, but the three of them felt like a bad one (because of the red things on the screen). I'm wondering if there's another one, one with yellow or blue or pink... just kidding.

It would be great having your feedback to our entry: Zeqeku.

Great story-telling and world building. Really fun!

Made in 2 weeks for #AdvJam2019

Night of the Crescent Moon is a #textadventure game with some #horror and #puzzle elements. Traverse the moonlit wilderness in search of the spectral voice that calls out your name across the ether. Make use of items and learn key terminology to uncover the truth about the land after dark.

Controls:

  • Use up, down, left, right keys to move around.

  • Use the 'enter' key to search an area or perform an action, such as advancing a conversation

  • If text has a letter in braces, such as [t]his, use the key in brackets to perform that action.

  • Learnable key terms are in [braces]: learn these words during conversations with the 'l' key

  • Press 's' during a conversation to bring up a list of topics to choose from

Tips:

  • Search everywhere! There are secrets in many places uncovered from searching areas. When you obtain items, use them to find new paths to explore.

  • Talk to all the npc's: you never know what clues they will drop. Key terms are topics to ask each npc for info gathering; you can learn them from characters. Key terms are in [braces] when npc's mention them.
