Pixel Hero Prologue - VR Missions

Pixel Hero Prologue is an RPG inspired by games of all kinds! We studied design techniques from games like Monkey Island to Metal Gear Solid to Pokemon to Fallout to Dark Souls to DOOM to Castlevania to Surgeon Simulator 2015, and have put together a truly unique experience that blends a wide variety of genres into a seamless experience. From branching dialogue, to engaging stealth, to fast-paced turn-based combat, in PHP you'll have a variety of ways to take on any situation. We like to call this blend a Role-Playing-Turn-Based-Puzzle-Stealth-Comedy-Game or RPTBPSCG for short.

A prequel to a prequel, PHP: VR Missions stars the wet-works agent Golden Cobra as he trains for real world combat in a series of simulations. You'll battle demons, mecs and obligatory zombies in this varied and open adventure! Be it the fantastical Demon Sector, or the flashy neon Vice Sector, players will learn the ropes of Pixel Hero, experience their first taste of Orbis’ lore and even gain some hints of the events to come.

(VR Missions holds a very close place in our hearts but is not without its problems, from a couple of bugs to the almost complete lack of spellchecking, VR Missions feels like an early PS1 game that got rushed to release... Which is honestly kind of the feel we were going for. That said we're rebuilding the entire game from the ground up in Unity and adding in all kinds of content, mechanics, UI and there'll finally be spellchecked dialogue. However this does mean we haven't had the time to patch the game... at all... Hope you enjoy it!)
