Game for the GalleryofTrash #badboxart Game Jame challenge.

Readme - The object of Rock n Ball is to get the ball in the enemy's goal. There is no time limit, and you can get the ball into the enemy's goal by any means - use rocket launchers and railguns to kill your opponents and push the ball into their goal.

The game starts you in a warm up round where you can practice getting a hang of the game. You cannot score goals in warm up round. Once you get the hang of the controls and you are ready to play,, hit R key. The round will begin and play starts.

The controls are WSAD/ARROWs for movement. Space is Jump. You can bunnyhop if you rapid jump and strafe.
Left mouse is ATTACK, Right mouse is Zoom..,
Mouse scroll selects weapon. Or, you can use Number keys (1,2,3,4) to choose weapon.
1 - Unarmed. Kicks the ball but has a 1 second delay. While unarmed you cannot injure players
2 - Hockey stick - Can deflect rockets and can punt the ball with no delay. Partially absorbs rails but the player still takes half of the damage. When attacking enemies, does 17 dmg.
3 - Rocket launcher - Straightforward weapon that does a maximum of 40 splash damage.
4 - Rail gun - Shoots high speed rails at a slow rate.
Note : There is no friendly fire but you can injure yourself from your own rockets.
Tip: When jumping, projectiles will soar over your enemies head. You cannot collide with grounded projectiles or balls when in the air

Rules: There are no rules in RockNBall. Get the ball into the enemy goal however you like. But if a ball is out of bounds, it will rise into the air, float towards the middle of the arena, and will be out of play until it hits the ground again.

Strategies: It's best to kick the ball out of your territory at the beginning of the round. Your teammate AI's will rarely do it. Your teammate AI's function as mostly midrange entities, they don't play goalie and their attacks on the enemy goal are infrequent. The enemy however, may often spawn a goalie. It's best to take him out, as he will never leave his post. He will deflect 95 percent of your rockets, so the best way to take him out is to bring the ball to his side, so he will move to that side, then hit him with rocket splash damage on the post next to him.
Be careful of assaulting the enemy goalie alone, you may get lucky and have your teammate throw a game winning score, or you may get railed in the back by a passing enemy!
When the enemy is in your zone, when in doubt. kick it out of bounds! This will buy you some time for your teammates to respawn and to kill off the enemy horde that is in your zone.
If there are 4 enemies attacking you, that means they don't have a goalie, so your best bet is to kick the ball towards the enemy goal and hope it doesn't get deflected.
You are always Pink team, so the White floor decals always point to the enemy base.
If you have enough momentum, you can skate over walls (but not clouds.)
There are always 2 balls on the field. It does not matter which ball you use to score a goal.

Bugs and Glitches: There are 2 main glitches in Rock'NBall2016. Enemies often lose their unique names and avatars after respawn, and enemies sometimes suicide on walls because I didn't program wall intelligence yet. There are no game breaking bugs as far as I can tell, but there are some minor lag issues for older computers when there is lots of action on screen.

Q and A:
Why does it say this game was entered in the contest on March 26th, yet the build date says March 27th?
A: I spoke with Shank and I asked him if I could change my company logo for the game. He said it was alright because I didn't like the yellow branding I used for my company logo. So, the new build says March 27th, even though it is exactly the same as the original March 26th build (which it still has the enemy names and avatar problems. :)
