Welcome to Afton's Diner...

Afton's originally opened in 1974 without any animatronics and was simply a small diner with an Arcade. In 1977, they installed their first animatronic characters, these being Fredbear and Bonnie. Only a year after their initial installation, they began to malfunction very often due to low maintenance, guests reported Fredbear's mouth dislodging itself like a snake, and Bonnie's arm swing movement causing him to throw his cigar frequently. Even the nightwatchman began to report strange activity after hours, he claimed that they started to walk around the building, which can't possibly happen, they're bolted down to the floor... right?

"After the last Security Guard disappeared, your job is to watch over the building at night to make sure nobody breaks in, not like they will, but we've had instances."

This job is much more dangerous than what meets the eye. The two animatronics get increasingly more aggressive the more you stay at this job and will make their way toward your Security Office. When they find their way to you, just pray you act correspondingly and in time.
