Since the majority of the comments are complaints and suggestions from people who likely have no idea what it's like to program a game, much less one with the added pressure of living up to the original with a fourth of the resources:
I love this game. I play it every single day. I never got to play the original, but I've seen lots of videos and know that this one is right where it needs to be in terms of development.
I have worked on a game rewrite myself for nearly 6 years and fully understand the complexities and intricacies that go into this sort of thing. People don't understand that you can't just snap your fingers and birth a carbon copy of the original along with all the new bonus features they want. These things take time, and hours of unpaid labor.
Keep it up Brandon. Myself and the other massive percentage of the fandom who loved this game back in the day are endlessly grateful for your efforts in creating this gem.
This game is cool! Keep up the good work, man!
