SphereShooter - Final version

The integrated GPU won't let me try the new version. . . :(

I have an integrated GPU, and it doesn't like Unity Web Player. :P

I downloaded the game straight, however, and here's my comments:

SphereShooter is a fun mix between 3d and 2d platformer and shooting. The destruction is extremely entertaining. I very much appreciate that the particles are constant, even when you fall off the stage. A lot of fun int the combat is had from destroying the environment around you. The 3d mixed with the 2d mechanics looks great. The clouds in the back add a good perspective. The birds look good as well. There are some really cool puzzle elements in the movement, especially with grappling and ramping off walls. I would love to have 4 directional shooting; I think it would add a lot.

That brings me to a couple points I have on what could be different.

The controls are a little finicky. I often couldn't jump when I wanted to, although I was usually able to ramp off of nearby particles. Once in a great while, my character wouldn't stop when I released the key (it's when you tap it instead of holding it). I had trouble hitting the birds when they were using their 3d space to move in (I would suggest making it that you can hit them no matter how close or far there are from the camera, thereby keeping you 2d mechanics alive). Eh, blah blah, these are solely mechanical issues, and they'll go away as you get more used to using your engine. Just keep them in mind. :)

You've put a lot of good, hard work into this game and it shows. Keep up the good work. 4/5

Oh, and don't worry to much about the plays and views; my game Rubber Ducky is currently in the top 100 arcade games, and I only get one or two downloads a day. :P I think if you keep posting it on Twitter every once in a while, you'll do okay. :)
